Sydney and Melbourne WOW

Well i think my idea to rin the two major comps of the australian season was a very good idea.

the results that i got from these two meets would never have been predicted about a month ago. In Sydney i contested the 100m and the 200m i won both of them and ran B Qualifyers for both of them in times of 11.39 and 23.19. In melbourne i decided to only concentrate on the 200m to see if i could achieve an A qualifyer unfortunatley that did not happen but i did win the event.

to have had about 3 weeks of preparation for these two competitions i think that i did very well and as i said before you would never have been able to predict this a month ago with how my injury was going..
i decided to run the comps because i had not had pain for a little while and i was training really well and i also could not stand seeing all the girls lining up competing and my name was there on the start list, so i decided that i have to be out there competing in an environment that i call normal and see what i could produce with everone else being in “great” shape, the reason i say it like that is becasue technically i should not have won those comps simply becasue the other girls have had far more preparation than i have and have had more race practice than i have, lets just say i put it down to my determination and mental strength and also the will to win when i am competing.

now that i have finished for the season i am going straight back into another preparation and that is getting ready fofr my wedding which is on the 3rd of april.

talk to you soon, sal
